    gunner284 I Love microskiff.com!

I'm looking at buying a boat that has a Nissan 50hp 2 stroke on it from somewhere around the late '80s or early '90s (I think its probably a '90-91 but I'm not sure at this point). Any trouble areas or things to check out/look for? Would it be made by Tohatsu like the current Nissans and are parts readily available if needed? Thanks

Any outboard more than 10 years old needs to be viewed with suspicion.
An outboard that's 20 years old is a parts engine. The reasons?
Galvanic corrosion, metal fatigue and the number of hours of usage.
I like used boats, but I don't trust used outboards.
