To all the Titusville experts, I have been tasked with putting my parents in a good viewing spot for the next launch.
They are driving down from Alabama to check it out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Possible cold beer reward. Thx

  2. Well that's an easy one... Anywhere on the river is a birds eye view!  Lil Tate and all the others who stayed at Manatee Hammock on US1 got an awesome view the night before the Brandon tournament..

How crowded does it get down there or better yet, how early should I try to be there for a 7PM launch?

Manatee Hammock is only accessible if you are camping there but it is one of the best possible viewing locations other than on the water.

Sand Point Park is pretty good and close. I swung by there before the last shuttle launch (right before captain's meeting for Brandon tourney) and there were lots of people, but still plenty of parking spaces 45 mins before the launch.

As far as traffic, I came down US1 from Daytona and it was clear all the way to Sand Point Park. The main road heading east into Titusville (406/Garden Street??) was a big traffic jam. So if you come over on 46 and then head south on US1, you should be fine.

I'm hoping to get out on the water to watch this next one.

Thanks for trying. I think we'll try to get to SandPoint Park fairly early and sweat it out. Hope the thunderstorms stay away.
