Pretty excited as I have been reading this forum for about 3 years or so...finally made a profile and decided to post.

Being from Texas, most of my life I have fished from Texas style boats pretty much exclusively. Wade fishing, chasing big trout, and running as fast and as shallow as I could, until about 3 years ago when my old man made the switch and purchased and East Cape Glide. It was a big learning curve for myself as I was used to our Texas boats and had not really explored the world of skiffs. Our "home water", as I call it, is the Matagorda Bay system, where the bays can get pretty sporty on any given day, I definitely had my concerns on how his small boat was going to be able to deal with our big water. Those concerns were quickly erased away, as the Glide has always preformed amazingly!!

Long story short I visited East Cape about two years ago on a trip to Disney with the family. Had an amazing conversation with Kevin and got an up-close look at all the different models. Ended up getting in line for an Evo X last year and now I am about 2 to 3 weeks out from taking delivery.

Here are a few options I went with...

Center Console Jump Seat Flush Mount
Mercury 60R
GPS Simrad NSS 9 EVO 3S
Jack Plate Atlas Micro
Trailer Build Standard Galvanized
Backrest Removable Hatch Mount
Powder Coat Full Powder Coat Package
Console Grab Bar Over the Console Ghost
Insulated Livewell
Front Cleat Center Pop Up Cleat
Livewell Setup standard
Double Thick Cushion Design Pleated
Console Cup Holders
Gunnel Cup Holder Port and Stbd
Battery Charger 2 bank battery charger
Battery and Fuse Panel Location In Console
Micro Power Pole
12v Options 12v Receptacle and USB
Switches in Glove Box
Under Platform LED
Spreader Light
Battery Switch on off switch
Console LED Light
Light bar on Casting platform
casting and poling platforms
Push Pole 22 Stiffy Hybrid

I am positive I missed some things...will post some pictures at a later date!

Sounds very nice. I have spent a few hours in my friend's EvoX with an F70 and I've been impressed.

Congrats! The last few weeks before delivery are the hardest part! I grew up fishing the Matagorda Bay complex, the EVOx should be a great boat for those back lakes off the ICW and crossing the bay to those sloughs on the south shoreline. If I hadn't relocated to the Alabama Coast, I would've gone with an EvoX myself over my Vantage!

I have tried to keep my mind busy ever since I left their shop last week...unsuccessfully if I may add ha.

Been in that marsh since I was a youngster, and I am excited to see how the EVOX will add to our little arsenal.

Congrats. Looking forward to how the X performs in Matagorda. I've had a Lostmen since 2011 fishing the same areas. I believe I ran into you at the harbor in the Glide. Nothing like the smell of fresh gelcoat or the sound of the first oyster scratch!
Thanks!! I do believe I remember we ran into you at the harbor, or my old man told me about it, one or the other.

Spot on about that fresh gelcoat and those first scratches!!!

Congratulations! I just had @Smackdaddy53 install his low water pick up on my Caimen and it is pretty impressive. If you want to run EXTREME skinny, you may want to consider adding his system, along with a Baumann Prop and a car plate.

Please post pics as well your first thoughts after a couple of hours of operation. I’m anxious to hear your thoughts on poling, hole shot and, overall stability. When I say “operation” I mean when underway making way; how’s she handle head, following and, quartering seas.
It’s a fabulous boat as are the guy’s building them.
I’m pumped for ya so you could imagine how pumped I am for my own!! Good luck with it.
