I purchased a new 15 hp Honda (great motor!) a few years ago. Though I was not looking for an electric start, I got a really good deal, and now love that feature. I have a full sized battery with it, but it is going on 2 years and I have not done anything as far as recharging, etc. The start still seems strong, and (of course) the motor starts after a quick pulse. Question - I am taking my motor in for it's 2nd year service - should I have them look at the battery and possibly recharge the battery???

How are they going to charge it any different than you are doing?

I think your good to go. Just make sure that you have enough fluid in it if you have a traditional battery. Use distilled water to fill it if it is low - not tap.
