Need help between 3 skiffs

I’m in the market for a shallow water skiff that can also run shallow. So far it’s between a saltmarsh 1444 tunnel, shadowcast 16 tunnel and a piranha p140t. Does anyone have experience or reviews on any of these skiffs or have any other suggestion. I’d prefer a tunnel to be able to run shallow

I can’t say anything about the sm14 or the p140t. I have a sc16 tunnel and love it. Poles super easy and skinny. Also takes some chop. Every time I stay out just to long it impressed me in chop I shouldn’t be I Yes you get wet but haven’t ever felt unsafe. I have a tiller yah 20 4s runs about 20-22 with 2 and year. I did put a jack plate on it because I felt it would help with getting on plane and run shallower and it did. I put a Vance manual jp. Also love the micro pp and the aluminum fuel tank. It needs all the weight up front it can get. I run a few different setups depending on where/what/ tournament/ sandbar. I’d definitely recommend it. If your near or want to come to central FL area we can go for a ride.

I did fish out of a skimmer 14 once and I felt cramped. Beside my 12ft John Boat that my only experience with a 14ft skiff.

X2 I'd lean towards them.
Here’s my take as I sit on the balcony in Islamorada with a 5:30 wake up bell to chase tarpon on my 1444- it’s a great little skiff for the cost and what it is. The one downside that I’d single out is hull slap. It’s not awful and can be reduced to a degree with weight distribution, but one look at the hull design and you can see it shan’t be a silent hull. Other than that, draft and running in a light chop are great. Can’t speak to the tunnel 1444, but non tunnel runs pretty skinny. I have a Yam 20 4 stroke. I would imagine the 14 tunnel would suffer in poling draft and handling just bc of how small the boat is, but I don’t know for sure. My buddy has a 16 shadowcast that I’ve fished multiple times and it’s runs good and skinny. Little less stable than my 14 both while running and at rest.

Let keep this a short thread, i know I've seen it before. Get the 16 SC and be done with it. You'll be glad you did

That's a silly statement. I was set to get the SC but walked away for the 1444 due to stability and other factors. Most that have been on both will tell you that the length difference is negligible due to the shape of the bow.
Have had a SC 16 tiller for about a month now. Very impressed with how well it takes chop. Took it out yesterday inshore when the winds were over 30mph and it handled it very well. Runs super skinny w/o a jackplate just play with the tabs and tilt a little bit. Poles like a dream. Great skiff for the price!
My Piranha p140t handles chop well but is a little on the narrow side. Because of the narrowness it is a bit tipsy like any 56" beam would be.

I was afraid you were gonna have Towee on your list.
Alright I'll bite...

I'm just starting my search for a boat. What's the negative on a Towee? Towee is (was?) on my list!
