Pretty sure it is just retained by an o-ring, so it should just pull off. But unless you have the parts to replace the clicker nubs and a new o-ring, I would send it into Nautilus for them to repair. Or at the very least speak with them about the repair.
Try tilting it, I looked at my 8/10-10/12 spools and if you tilt it and put a little pressure on it you can see the o-ring and felt like it should just pop off. Smaller size might be more difficult, I did not want to pop it off for fear of damaging the o-ring. Again, give Nautilus a call they should be able to tell you the best method.
