Last Friday (National Golden Retriever Day) I finally got out with the wife. Was her first time on the Evo and she wanted to take the pup along. We only had a few hours so dropped the kids at school and headed for Black Point. Weather was gorgeous and I forgot how beautiful Biscayne bay could be. Sped off for the raggeds with one block of chum and 3 dozen shrimp. Played some tunes wife read her kindle and I was dinking around fishing. 3 dozen shrimp lasted about an hour. Caught a few undersized mutton’s and some really nice porgies. Was kinda hoping for one good fish but that will have to wait for next time. Saw some mudding bones but too far and no bait lol. Wife is used to my dad’s Carolina Skiff. When I asked her what she thought about the Evo all she’s said was it’s smooth and fast. Yup big difference between 30 and 50mph😇

Great pics, I have a 12 week old golden in boat training

Cute! Sometimes the hardest part of puppy training is keeping them in the boat! You don’t know how many fishing spots our dogs have ruined by “accidentally” falling overboard🤣🤣

I love dogs - have had mostly shepherds and a beagle, but not a Golden Retriever - yet. After watching the Jesse Stone series (with Tom Selleck and his golden retriever, Reggie), I've decided my next dog will be a golden.
They are great family dogs and not as crazy as the labs, although Max our first one was a psychopath! I can't imagine ever not having one they are part of the family and kids love them too. The one pictured above, "Axl", has been the clingiest so far! Smart dogs for sure and they LOVE the water!

My buddy 'Tucker' is our second golden retriever and was a rescue. He is very sensitive to unfamiliar motion and on our initial drive home he had a panic attack, puked all over my truck. Took several months to convince him to even get in a vehicle, now he loves to ride. First ride in an elevator required a major cleanup! Boat rides he now tolerates as long as it's calm, get in a chop get ready for the cleanup. Would not trade him for the world. Great breed and perfect family dog.
