Hello fellow micro skiffer's

I have narrowed down my next rig to one of these 3 and need your guidance.

A little back ground- I mainly fly fish here in Ohio for Musky, Pike and Smallmouth- fish many rivers and small reservoirs and if winds allow in and around the marinas of Lake Erie.
Currently I fish out of a decked out Nucanoe F12 with a 55lb bow mount remote controlled trolling motor.

1. East Cape Skanu https://www.eastcapeboats.com/east-cape-skanu/

2. Salt Marsh Savannah https://www.saltmarshsavanna.com/

3. Xtreme X Mirco 1345 https://www.xtremeboats.com/boats/micro-x-series.htm

Please chime in if you have or currently own any of these along with the plus and minus of each.

Thank you in advance.

Whoa that Xtreme is a cool little boat. If it has the aluminum vs. glass price advantage like larger skiffs have it would be worth looking harder at. You already fish out of a Nucanoe so the "try before you buy" warnings don't really apply to you as you already know what it is like to fish out of a true micro. The only piece of advice I would probably give is if your rivers are rocky (which fishing for smallies they probably are) just imagine that sinking feeling in your gut when you bash one of the glass boats on that just under the water boulder. Both Kevin @ East Cape and Mel @ Ankona are great to work with and you are looking at what appear to be three solid options so.... good luck and make sure to post some pictures when you get whatever you decide on!

That hitting the rocks is my biggest concern- however I do recall in the one iCast videos a mention about a rotomolded version of the Skanu- if that is a reality than the roto Skanu would be the top pick for sure next the Xtreme micro 1345

Currently there are only a few of the new Saltmarsh Savannah’s out, and not a ton of information about them other than a thread or two on here. I can tell you that their customer service is one of the best in the business, easy to communicate with and they stand behind their product.

I don’t think it’s a reality yet, but believe it in the works. Best to call Kevin to find out.
