My new toy!

    So I finally pulled the trigger on a Nikon D80. I got a 70-300mm Nikon lens, a Sigma 30 f/1.4 prime lens and a 18-55mm knock around lens. I also ordered (on backorder :mad:) an Olympus 1030 SW waterproof point and shoot for the boat!



    Also waiting on the Pelican case for them to take on the trips to the glades. What all kinds of programs are you guys using?? Need to get some software for the computer.

    For photo editing Adobe Photoshop still a top pic editing software.

    Best free is opensource software GIMP.

    I have been a big Gimp user in the past but moved away from it when I purchased my Nikon DSLR and started shooting RAW files. If you shoot your pictures in JPG format then you can still use Gimp. But if you start shooting in RAW format you will need Photoshop to manipulate the images.

    I had tried that plugin with no success.

    Photoshop is the defacto standard, but Gimpshop is really about as good and its free. - eric
