I bought a 2014 ipb 14 (skimmer skiff) back in march, and the bolt that holds the strap on the trailer winch broke. When the bold broke the sides of the winch twisted and now it binds when i crank it. Has this happend to anyone else? I called continental about it 2 days ago, and they said that they'll call me back by the end of the day. I haven't heard anything back yet. This should be covered by the warranty, correct?

I'll post picture later of it.

I've had the strap bolt bend on a winch. :-[
Too much load, not enough wraps on the winch.
The strap needs to be about 5 feet longer than the rear of the trailer
to ensure enough wraps are left on the winch to cushion the load.
Make sure the winch is rated for the load.

Thanks for the input guys. I still haven't heard back from them, and I've left 3 messages. For a large trailer company I would think that their customer service would be better.
