I have a two year old Ulterra that is great but a few weeks ago all the paint just started peeling off of the motor/foot. The paint is just flaking off the entire cylinder of the motor. Think I’m better off just having a Minnkota service shop repaint or repair it or just try spraying it myself???

Rust-Oleum or Krylon appliance epoxy. Stays on as well as anything.

Prep is key. Have it media blasted then use some good two part primer and urethane top coat if you want it to last. Otherwise it will rust will come back and start the flaking cycle over again.
