I was trying to take a 14ft boat I found and turn it in to a poling skiff, it is a tri hull fiberglass boat, just wanted to know if it would be worth doing of if it’s the wrong hull?

You could fix it. You could pole it. You could catch plenty of fish off it.

You will probably put much more money into it than you will ever get out of it, but that is the case with most project hulls.

It will be heavy. It will draft more than ideal. It will be loud. It won’t turn well when poling.

Is it worth your time? That is your decision.

If you really want something that poles pretty well on the cheap, a Gheenoe or clone thereof is the best thing going. They can usually be found cheap and in good enough shape to get on the water reasonably quickly. Jonboats are okay, but they don’t pole as well.
