Sweet rig. What’s too speed on that thing?
Super cool -- a buddy that helped with my build has asked me a few times about a small cat build. I used to have a 25ft cat boat that ate up chop like you wouldn't believe. Would love to see some details and build pics!
Look for RipWave Boats on the YouTube.

I will be posting more in instagram and youtube. In the next couple of weeks I plan to get this in the ocean and send it hard!

With a 6 hp it was 15ish mph. I currently have an 8hp that got going 22mph with a tailwind. Loaded up with batteries, trolling motor, rods ect it 19mph. I am still fine tuning the setup... small boats (as we all know) get pretty finicky with weight distribution!

Thanks! Basic details would be
11' length (that is shortest practical cat length I have designed)
Beam 54"
Gelcoat/ fiberglass molded construction
Weight 165#
Speed so far with an 8hp is 20mph... I would love to try a 10 or 15..... yikes

I made sure the hatches were positioned so that rods could easily fit inside the hulls. I've got two gunnel racks mounted in each hull so four rods stored down below. My fly rods I have to break off and fold the tip... not ideal but better than nothing! Each hull has a battery mounted for the trolling setup upfront. A Y harness comes up through the deck up front two run both batteries in parallel.

I have not been out in any harsh conditions yet, but going full tilt through typical small surface chop was like butter and even better, DRY!

That thing is sweet, nice work
We need a Big guy version say 14'/16' x 6' so we can put a 20 tahatsu or 25 yammy on her now that would be fun👍😎

I'm 190 myself, not "big" but certainly not small. But I agree... a 13' foot with a mini center console would be awesome!

A grab bar with cooler seat ,then another cooler on bow with Kennedy tie downs would make a killer jetty rig for sheephead specially with it sealed up on top side for any wave splashes 👍😎 that 20 tahatsu on a 13 would scream 🤣

Similar to those texas skooters 👍😎 all Deck Strictly business 😉
That’s a very nice boat. Took talent to put that together. There’s plenty of minimalist on here that are drooling
That’s sweet man, love the mono hull you did as well
