I'm looking to get a new gps but don't want to spend a lot on a color one or anything. i mean color would be nice but i mainly just want the simple functions of marking spots and getting form point A to point B. Pretty much just for hunting and fishing. I went to but the garmin e treck (or whatever its called) for $100 but right next to it at walmart was a Magellan Triton 400 on sale for $100 (normally $200). It has a color screen was the only main difference i saw.

Anyone had any experiences with Magellan GPS's? Pros, cons? from what i hear they've around a while but my buddy said he couldn't see if it had the option to put in numbers to find waypoints. I don't know, lookin for some advice.

good price for the triton 400,
went looking for comments by others on the gps forums,
many comments regarding overly complicated menus

on line the Etrex goes for 88 bucks
it's what I use, simple, efficeint

if you want something simple to operate then stay away from magellan products, you will not a find a unit more easy to use than a garmin.

    garmin all the way baby.
