A little over a year ago, I purchased a Lowrance Hook2 7x TripleShot. I installed it and tried it several times. I was not impressed, but for a low budget fish finder, it was OK, except for one thing. It didn't show fish arches. I had a smaller Garmin trolling motor mounted fishfinder, so I knew I was on fish. The Hook2 just wasn't showing fish.
After multiple customer service calls, a software update, a different transducer and a six week hiatus while it was in San Diego for diagnosis and repair, I got another Hook 7x. And it was worse than the original. Finally after multiple messages to Lowrance, I chatted with the head of their CS, and by now I was past irritated, gaining speed to full blown HOT. Long story short, I am now the proud owner of a Lowrance Elite TI 7 with Cmap preloaded with Southeastern lakes and intercoastal waterways. And it works!
I went through over a year of headaches and hassles, but Lowrance finally came through!
