I wouldn't consider an HPXV for 20,000 priced high. It depends on the condition. That console does look terrible but that's just my opinion. I usually see these HPXV's from 2006-2012 with nicer trailers (ameritrail) go for between 20,000 and 30,000. This ones a 2003 and it's only got a 70 so 20,000 sounds right. Depending on condition maybe somewhere 17,000-19,000 is better.

First, good luck with your hunt. Mavericks are amazing boats! I've owned my own and fished off multiple. That said, be prepared to pay fair value for one in good condition. Many Maverick owners are well aware of what they own; as well as, the boat being a very well made brand.

That's the 15 ft model HPX-V that Maverick stopped making a few years back. It is an awesome little skiff. I used to have one, but I just sold it to a buddy because I moved out of the state. If you do a lot of solo skinny water fishing then I'd jump on it ASAP. PM if you have any questions about the 15 ft.

Last thing... May not hurt to check out the Maverick run site: www.mcforum.com. A lot of Mav's pop up there that dont make it out to the rest of the internet.

I like how it says "if you look closely, there are a couple of unusual logos someone might find interesting"

Looks to be the landshark logo, wonder if it used to be Jimmy Buffet's old rig.

I would have bought it from you in a heart beat for $18,500. What motor? What trailer? What condition? Im just stating what ive seen most advertised at and what i know a few friends have paid for some. If its advertised at 20,000, you can probaby get it for 18 or 19. I know I was close to pulling the trigger on an 08 with a 2011 115 HP ETEC on Ameritrail trailer for 25,000 about a year ago.

Looks like Lindsay Marine is selling it and it will always be a much higher price than private sellers cause people can finance through them more than likely. If you look closely, you can see salt corrosion at the edges of where the cowling comes off. I would be a betting man to say that there is a ton of grease all over the internals, (which is good), unless its covering corrosion...

I have been on the MBC forum for many years and have always had my eyes on the HPX 17's and this one is NOT worth $20k. I literally wouldn't pay more than $16-17k for this boat.

Maverick does make a quality boat and majority of the time would agree to paying close to that, but look at the work that would need to be done to get it where you would probably want it. I doesn't look very clean to me,(as advertised).

Just my .02 cents, but good luck with your search for your next skiff. I am in the same boat as you...

u just have to look. You can find a deal if you look and are ready to travel. I owned that boat 4.5 years and I paid 18 for it when I bought it. That is why I say an 03 is not worth 20k But a boat is worth what someone is willing to pay!!!! no more no less
