Has anyone thrown an Exocett in 6wt that cares to give their experiences? I have an Exocett 8wt and abosuletly love the rod, but have not thrown or handles the 6, nor does anyone near me stock this rod to try. I have heard the Exocett shares similar characteristics throughout the range of weights, but cannot confirm this. I am looking to pick up a new 6wt for fall/winter redfish that can double duty as a freshwater pond and/or streamer 6wt.

Thanks,
T

Curious about the same thing.

I just scored another Freestone in mint condition and am looking for a schweeeeet 6wt to hang her on. Another option might be a Scott Meridian in same weight?

Picked up another Freestone from a friend of the family. He never used it and it still has the warranty card in the box. This one is a 10/10 and I'm nervous to use it.

Hope to get some feedback on the OP question about the 6wt Exocett.
Cool. Saw one somewhere else but I think the guy retracted the offer within a few hours.

I should be putting a Freestone on a 7 wt Exocett shortly.
