Lithium batteries and max speed on your trolling motor

Goose,

I know you're running a big motor, what cranking battery are you using?

Are you using a 24v lithium for the TM and a AGM for cranking? I'm running 3 x AGM with a Powermania 3-bank charger (plug-in not charging while underway). I know the charger will handle lithium but for some reason I remember hearing some cautionary tale years ago about mixing a cranking AGM and a lithium bank and frankly, I'm not sure how Frank's wiring supports or prohibits this.
I have a 24v lithium for TM and AGM for cranking. There's a different onboard charger for this setup than all lithium. I've not had an issue in 7 years.

I'm running an Odyssey AGM for the cranking battery (whatever model Egret is putting in boats these days) and a 24V 50AH Ionic Lithium for the TM. The only charger I know of that can handle both an 12V AGM and 24V lithium is the power pole Charge, which is what I have in my boat. It's a very simple system that allows me to pull power from the lithium for emergency cranking if needed.

What charger are you running?
Lithiumpros 24v with odyssey agm as well. Lithiumpros onboard charger. It’s been going for 7 years now.

Ah! Good to know there are other options out there! I initially looked into a NOCO charger for my boat during the build process but they said all batteries would need to be 12v for their chargers to work.

Do you know the model of charger? When I look at their website most of the chargers listed are single bank 12, 24, or 36 volt chargers. When you get into the multi-bank chargers they're pairing the power-pole Charge with the batteries. I'm probably missing something.
M1224 on-board DC charger. I just ordered another one for a different skiff. This is an onboard charger off of the outboard. It charges the 12v AGM and then converts and charges the Lipo 24v while underway. Is that what you are needing or comparing? For the plug in charging I have a fast charge lipo (and a "normal), but, I dont not have that mounted in the skiff (for weight savings).
