I bought an outboard for my duck boat instead of a mud motor due to a good deal coming through. I tried to run it through some vegetation, and as expected, fouled the hell out of it, bogged it down. I pulled up, cleared it, and busted out the paddles. Is there any way to keep the prop from getting fouled as often? The weeds tend to wrap only around the inside of the prop where it meets the lower. Any help would be appreciated!

thats pretty sick, that would bring my total cost to STILL less than a mud motor!! I wonder how much it would make my rig sag at idle?? Shouldnt it bring the stern up on plane??

i think the best option overall is to keep my eyes peeled for a MM and a buyer for my 6 hp suzuki, preferably around the same time so I'm not motor-less!
