This outboard is new to me. It is an 89 Johnson 60 hp. Soon after I bought the boat I ran it on muffs. Hard to start but she ran good. I have since replaced the water pump and changed the oil in the lower unit. I tested the compression and I got 110-110-120. Yesterday I was going run some sea foam through it to decarb and all I get is stumbling and it will run for 5-10 seconds. It only runs when I use the electric primer. Also, this time I ran it submerged in a tub. I suspect the fuel pump but not sure. It has the vro pump that is bypassed. Things I have checked: Fuel lines- I found a small leak at one connection The bulb Is new but it doesn't really pump up hard. I see the filter is full but I think it was running out as I ran it. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Is there a way to test the pump?
