The hydraulic pump in my old model CMC jack plate went out a few years back and I'm just now getting around to get the boat, pathfinder 17 tunnel, back in fighting shape.

My question is: the part it needs is around $480, at that point would I be better off just getting a whole new jack plate instead of fixing this one?

Also, what is the consensus on manual jack plates for a 60 2-stroke?

    Thanks guys,
    El C

Manual jackplates work fine but on a tunnel your probably running shallow water so your probably going to want to jack up on the fly. That cmc unit is heavy and outdated and expensive to fix.
look into the t-h marine micro jacker
