I have a 1976 FMC hull that is pushed by an 1976 Johnson 25 hp electric start. It's a nifty little micro with a small, but effective casting deck on the front of the boat. The previous owner painted the inside with, what he called, a 2-step epoxy process. It's almost battleship grey and looks ok, but he missed a few spots or the paint didn't stick well. What are my options to repaint the inside of the boat? Do I need to rough the old paint? What types of paints work well? After painting, I am going to put a layer of SeaDek to minimize noise and provide a good non-slip surface. Thanks.
