Curious if anyone saw any reds in the grass this morning? Fished the flood yesterday and didn’t see a single tail. I know water temp is too cold, was hoping to get lucky
Went out today, not a single damn tail. Saw fish on the low tide, but they turned down just about everything we threw at them.

Interesting
I have never seen a red in the grass when the water is this cold.
Usually end of Oct is when I stop fishing floods and focus on trout (about any tide). For reds in the winter- I look for low tide spots where they warm up in the darker colored mud.
They are usually trying to get up and away from the ever present porpoise as well and find spots on big mud flats where their is a deep pool they can hide in and warm up.

Super spooky in the shallows this time of year but can be great fun.

Sheepies are good on incoming tide around structure.
