Decided to refinish the engine cowling for the skiff I'm still building, There was some sun rash in a couple areas I wanted to fix. I thought about blending the areas but figured the time it would take to do that i could sand, prime and paint the entire thing. here's the finished product.

Ive been Painting things for many years, Self taught, Asked a lot of questions along the way. For this job i removed all the decals, Sanded, Primed and Painted with 2K urethane. Pretty straight forward.

I'll try and get some pictures posted of my process along the way. I started having interest in a small skiff ( maybe ) 18 months ago. Somewhere along the way I found this forum, Purchased a very rough & old "Johnsen skiff" which I think is actually a Mitchell skiff.

Im a little further along now but much, Ive since started a renovation my childhood family home so my days of having fun and working on the skiff are limited.
