My HPX has a stainless steel garboard drain plug with a threaded removeable plug. Before leaving home yesterday, I tried to tighten the plug but encountered some resistance. I recently replaced my bilge pump, so I figured maybe something had fouled the threads. So, I unscrewed the entire unit, clean it off, re-threaded the retention system and then tightened the plug--or so I thought. When I launched the boat, I opened the pie hole like I always to just to "make sure". There was a small, but steady trickle of water coming into the bilge from the plug. What do I need to do to correct this so my bilge stays dry like it did before?

Re clean the threads and if it has an o ring replace it. Not too many things to fail.

Cleaned it up real good and got a new O ring from BOW. I tightened it down real good and will check it out this weekend or next. Thanks for the response.
