I pulled the bearing carrier to put new seals and o-rings. Now I’m trying to put it all back together and the prop shaft is binding. Everything is going good until I have about three threads left on the two bolts holding it all in. Anyone know if it should be in a specific F/N/R to get it to seat properly? Motor is 25hp yam 2 stroke.

Can’t say off the top of my head. But be carefull using the bolts to pull it in. Maybe @cutrunner can chime in since he is still in the field daily and most likely has access to certain publications?

Sounds like you are binding on the shifter pin.. it can be tricky... the flange should push right in with minimal force... lubricate the o- ring and should go right in... if not ,spit it on it...lol

Thanks for the replies guys. I just got it all back together. I put it in forward gear and it popped right in. Tightened the two bolts and ran it through the gears with no binding.
