HB Guide Speed ?

    Can someone who has run this setup tell me what should it run, both cruise and top, with a 90 hp carburated Merc. 2 guys, light load. No TM, no water in wells, etc. thanks!

    90 Yamaha 2 stoke got 37 wot, maybe 38 down wind down current. Light loaded. Blew the 90, now the F70 gets 35 wot and I can go from Sarasota to Cuba on one tank.

    She’s not a speed demon. If you’re getting above 37 with a very light load, you’re doing good. I miss my old boat :(

    @K3anderson runs a Merc 50 Bigfoot on his Guide and I think we run in the low 30s consistently. He can confirm. I would think a 90 would improve upon that obviously.

    Mine cruises around 32 at 4200 rpm with that load. I never really push my outboard too hard, 2007 Merc 90, but when I push it up to 4800-5000 I see something a little below 40. This is all GPS speed and depends on water conditions as well.

    32 w/Merc command thrust 60HP jackplate and foreman prop. The 90 is supposed to add 4mph due to weight.
