Beat up condition and lack of accessories, but not out of the realm of restoring of course.
Could be a SICK restore for someone, the DR is an amazing 290lb skiff.
I want that classic console on mine!!!!
Someone grab this and make another sick DR like i did...
Thats steep for a tender style skiff on a jet ski trailer
-don't have to worry... the trailer is not included according to the fine print....
Holy cow you're right...at the price I got my devilray for with the stainless aluminum ramlin trailer I'm thinking it was highway robbery compared to this ;D
Still a new continental trailer for a HB is only about $1200-1400 ...if someone can negotiate this down to about $10k it would be a good deal....put about $3-4k into the restore depending on if you want to keep that heavy $250lb yammy 4stroke on there or switch it out for a lighter 2stroke...
Could be worth $18k-$20k when completely restored properly...those who are 'in the know' love these boats...
I have tried to contact them to talk and I haven't had any response.
If that is the carbed f40 it should only weigh 189lbs. The newer direct injected version was about 30-40 lbs heavier. Make sure that motor runs through the the entire power range without stuttering or stalling. The carbed f40 can be an expensive pain to keep in good running condition.
Yeah, I'd probably sell that motor if he wouldn't separate it from the boat.
Not a bad motor when its running well, just really finicky because of the idle jets.
There must not be very many people "in the know" what do you know that I don't? ;D
Ask the HB bums next time you stop for lunch at Jb's...
