Ok- My Garmin GPS map 176c has started acting funny and I am worried it's on the outs. I have had it for over a decade and have really put it through the paces. Curiously enough, the inshore detail is good and the unit is really accurate with my antique data card! Wondering if you guys have any suggestions as to a marine GPS that has decent detail, a 3 inch (ish) screen, and can run on AA batteries. I use the same GPS between 3 boats. I have looked at the Garmin 78sc and am not crazy about the small screen (2.6), but it seems to get good reviews. EDIT: The Colorado/Oregon 400c looks like a cool unit as well, with touchscreen. Just wondering what the experiences are with these, if any..... Any thoughts?
