I’m new to the forum and to salt water fishing. I’m currently fishing out of a Hobie Outback in the Marco Island/Goodland FL area.
I’ve chartered a couple of times and instantly got the bug for a skiff. There’s so much water to cover here, I see a boat in my future. I chartered out of Chokoloskee a couple of weeks ago and went into the Everglades back country (Big Lostman’s Bay). Our guide put us on a few snook and juvenile tarpon in the creeks back there. We also ran 5 miles offshore to some crab lines and picked off a few triple tail hanging around the marker buoys.
I’ve been lurking on the site for a couple of months and find it to be a great source of information. I’ll probably be asking more questions than contributing, but hopefully that will change as time goes on.
Tight lines - Tim
