We've had a pretty good season here in the Glades, shooting mostly BWT with some Mottled, Ringers, Scaup, Wigeon mixed in..!! Have glassed plenty of Pintails but haven't crossed paths with any... Good numbers of teal this year though! Time to start getting back into the fishing routine.. until next year!

Worst year we have ever had. I’ve gone from being able to hunt every single morning for the last 4-5 years to I have literally shot one duck all year. Granted it was the most beautiful GWT drake that’s going on the wall. But even our coastal ducks just never showed up this year. Bad drought in my neck of the woods.

All that down talking and had an amazing hunt today. Was invited to shoot a creek on a friends deer lease and shot my first drake gadwall and widgeon (both very rare in my area) as well as some woodies.

Got some meat and even better got some awesome wall decor for the office. My dog was starting to wander if I forgot what a duck was. She did great today as well and is now snoozing.

Fun last weekend, had a good hunt Friday and never fired a shot on Saturday.. ready for some spring weather to show so we can chase some silver..!! Hope y'all have a good closing weekend! I'll miss the sunrises in the freshwater parts of the glades and the sounds of ducks whizzing by our heads before 1st light.. but I'm not sure I'll miss the 3:30am alarm clock setting!! Cheers.
