“It works great”. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Save your money for now.Just got a new 7-9wt to add to the collection, and wondering recommendations on fly lines(brand, wt, etc)? I have a 8wt Galvan with Rio Summer Redfish line on it, and it works great. I’m fishing redfish in SE LA mostly, and just wanted to see thoughts on what everyone likes.
thanks!

Hopefully an Abel Rove. lolWhat is a "7-9wt"?
Well, any 8 wt rod you can buy at any price point could and probably should be labeled as such. They’ll all throw a line 1 wt class above or below their rating just fine. Whether the owner can or can’t is a different issue. What is a "7-9wt"?
Truer words have never been spoken! Shop locally!!!!Usually in SE LA you’ll want a quick loading line. Something a little front end heavy. Reds will pop close by in muddy water and you don’t have time to false cast. Each rod has a different flex, so it’s best to try different lines with them. Unfortunately the old time fly shops that have lines to try are being pushed out by cheaper online shops.
Have chasin them LA pumpkins. View attachment 234759 View attachment 234759
