How do I set my bait casting reel to pitch? For example the brakes and tension knob. I have seen KVD do it on TV awhile ago but can't find anything on YouTube. If anyone has a link to a video or can explain it would be appreciated. ;)

Years ago I used to set them to where you could let a lure drop to the floor and then there was just enough tension to prevent it from over running which causes the backlash/"birds nest" and that was where the setting stayed. As I got more experienced with them and was casting lighter baits far, I turned the tension to a loose as I could. It’s just a matter of feel. I don’t think there is a setting for everything- Reg cast, pitch cast, free fall drop, bow cast shooting it..... It’s a matter of being familiar and proficient with your gear while knowing the limitations of your gear and your self.
