Ive honestly been trying to do this for years and its always alluded me! Its such a sweet feeling to finally catch this little guy! I saw him tailing close to the mangroves, polled over to it and caught him on my second cast!

You will probably never forget your first red on fly and congratulations. I have caught more than a few and it still feels just as exciting as the first time. Sightfishing, especially with a fly rod, is just so intense and so much fun.

BTW, I have that same Okuma SLV reel in 10/11. It was my first larger reel. It's handled large Tarpon, Sharks, Tuna and Jacks. It's now my backup reel. Rinse it after every time out and it just won't die.
