Filler or new glass?

    Rebuilding my gheenoe after I found a 5" crack in the middle chime. Started sanding and noticed there is some missing material from the last 17 years of her life. I want to reinforce the entire part. So I was going to reglass the hull until I saw QuickFair. Which is going to be better?

    your best option is to grind out the area and rebuild it with matting/cloth - both inside and out...

    "quick fair" is a fairing compound,it "fairs" a surface,has no structual integrity...
