All was fine running along at 4K RPM's, heard a thump and about a 1/4 mile later motor shut down. Was running @ around 175 degrees and no alarm sounded and RPM's didn't drop (like typical when overheating) motor just shut down. Turned key off and turned back on and wouldn't start. Noticed temp gauge said 206. Towed in and computer results show no current faults. Replaced water pump and thermostats and in no wake area motor, at least via the gauges appeared to be tuning a little cooler, then into open water and back to 4K RPM, this time temp gauge reading 145 degrees so motor appears too be running cooler with new stats and pump. 1/2 mile into the bay same thing motors just quits and will not restart. Again
when trying to restart noted that temp gauge indicated a 30 degree jump. Any insight from the group
