I went to take my boat out of the garage the other day and it would not trim up. It would, however, trim down. On the up trim, no sound or anything...no response. Keep in mind this affected both the binnacle switch and the switch on the motor.

The next morning, I went out to check on it and it was working fine. Took the boat out and no issues. Checked on it again this morning and was still working fine.

Anyone ever had this happen? Should I go ahead and replace the trim relay? If so, any tips on making the process go smoothly?

Yes, i had this exact same issue. I had to toggle back and forth repeatedly sometimes to get it to trim up or down. I had my relay replaced under warranty. I would take it in.

It’s a 2012...they won’t warranty it. I ordered the relay. Looks like it should be a relatively simple swap.
