Just came back from our annual camping trip. Moon phase was almost dead crescent. Weather was pleasant so made for nice camping conditions. Fishing was not so pleasant. I have 2 words to describe the trip…catfish and shark! We fished mainly around the lake and one day ran to the shark river area and into oyster bay. Sharks were everywhere. Lost a bunch of nice fish in the passes to sharks a few ready to be netted. Only thing good we caught were a couple of nice sheepshead and a few trout. One trout was a biggun. Shark fishing at night was exciting though we brought about 5-6 to the sand with twice as many runs on them. Someone in our group caught a huge permit off the beach as well. Even thought the fishing wasn’t great the times we had will be great memories.
