It looks like the oil rig fire and collapse in Louisiana turning out to be a really big mess:

we have a huge mess on our hands here. After such a cold winter and a big fish kill this is not going to help to get things back on track and it doesnt look like theres a quick fix to stoping the oil

Well it happened in my backyard and I am not happy about it as they have just closed one of the most prolific fisheries along the entire gulf coast. The one I have hunted, fished and loved for decades. But if you have ever put a drop of gasoline in a vehicle, to drinking from any plastic container you have contributed in some way to the demand for oil. I can understand the sentiment “not on my coast line” it is a gamble that Louisiana has taken for many years to benefit all of us who use petroleum products. It's not an evil thing; we were brought up with it as a way of life. It should be a motivation for us all to find alternatives and start changing the way we use what energy we have. If nothing else appreciate what others will sacrifice the next time you purchase a petroleum product, it may have been drilled off my now contaminated coast.
