My day started early and I got to the track before 7am. Pit crews were just beginning to roll out the boxes, and the roadies were setting up the entertainment stages. This guy was sweeping the ICE off Tim McGraw' stage:



Here are a couple of fans who really didn't need to wear badges for us to get the message:



Actually "HOT" is a designator to allow pit access while the cars are running as opposed to "COLD".

One of the more unusual things I saw during the day was this young lady whose guy surprised her with a ring at the Valentines Day Daytona:

Cool pics, did you have some sort of pass or just walking around taking shots at people?

I shot pits, garage, track and then walked around the infield. After a while all the car shots look alike, so I'd rather take photos of the people. Plus the fans are fun to talk to, when you can hear them over the noise.
