I'm trying to make an extension plate from 1/16 sheet that I will paint and bolt to my existing plate for my RAM mount so that I can fit my humminbird sounder and my GPS on it.  I've got the lines marked, and mounting holes drilled but I'm racking my brain trying to figure out how to make the line cuts in the metal, I need to make one cut that's about a foot long and another about 4 inches perpendicular, basically cutting a rectangle from the corner of a rectangular piece of sheet metal. I don't own a plasma cutter or anything fancy like that or I'd have it done by now.  Any tips?

i sure feel silly, i managed to squeeze them both on, they're both hanging off a little but definitely secure enough, lol. Thanks for the tips guys! I might still go ahead and complete this project so they're a little more secure.
