March, April, and some of May are my least favorite months of the year for fishing. Its Always super windy, and its a "tweener season" so the winter fish (bluefish, ladyfish, small jacks)are still lingering and the summer fish (tarpon, big snook, permit) haven't really started showing up. These 3 months my boats get very little use

That sucks for you Mike, lesson learned I hope. March, April the winds blow and still weak colds fronts that move through. By the end of April beginning of May, we get the cold fronts retreating north as warms fronts that stall and bring days of rain.
Personally, I love to fish April and May. Fishing for bonefish and permit can be fantastic even with the strong winds and rain. The early tarpon, when there around are not shy either. Not to mention the lack of pressure on the flats.

What were your plans?? What species were planning to target?
