Hey guys,

Military friend is coming home for Labor Day. We are looking to take him out to a sandbar. We mostly go to Jewfish in AMI however with redtide we are switching it up. Any recommendations for sandbars in Tampa Bay?

Bunces pass is a great one. Between Fort Desoto and shell key. Should be North of the red tide still. If you want to cruise inside, the sandbar behind Weedon island is also an option.

I used to go to Weedon Island a lot, honestly more than i'm proud to admit. when visiting my in-laws in Bradenton though we would run to the north end of Anna Maria and push up on the beach there. You could also cruise over to beercan in the middle of the Bay, it's usually pretty wild.

Thanks guys.
My buddies girl friend would kill me if we went to Passage Key haha.
I'm lucky. My wife and most of our friends would just peel down! Plus it's decent beach snook fishing if it's not crowded.
