First apologies for the sand snook pics, solo it’s just tough, a quick snap with my waterproof TG-6 and back in the water!
The Snook are out in force on the beaches, if you find clear water, and low waves, the sight casting has been incredible, I fished last two days on incoming and outgoing tidal movement, hooked three 40+ for sure but they beat me. The catch numbers were very high. I had some incredible eats.
Use an Intermediate line, short leader with a 35lb bite, 30” plus snook can abrade your bite very quickly! The Intermediate gives you the ability to work the troughs efficiently while also being able to fish the super skinny passes. Use 2” minnow streamers.
