Looking to go on a 5-7 day trip to the Bahamas with some buddies. They want to go offshore a day or 2 and also fly fish inshore.
I couldn’t live without going offshore. Not really my thing but would love to hear any recommendations you guys have. Open to pretty much anything and would like to not break the bank

If you’re open to anything and trying to not break the bank, check out bonefish bluff in green turtle cay. Not a “lodge” if you will, but an awesome house that sits on top of a large flat that holds giant bonefish. You can DIY bonefish the few flats around the town and find fish everywhere and from what we were told, the offshore fishing is incredible. The reefs edge is very close so it’s not a far run, there are offshore guides and bonefish guides all over the island.

Also wanted to add I will be getting married in December and looking for a place to honeymoon that I can fish. Ideally I would love to wake up before her every morning walk/bike to a flat wade for some bonefish. Anyone know a spot like this? The bonefish bluff airbnb seems to be the closest thing but she is requesting a pool/hot tub...

Unfortunately I have not yet made it to Ragged. Hope to some day. There are some interesting salt ponds on Ragged I have heard about and some areas near them where tarpon play. Let us know if you go.

Check out Cape Santa Maria Resort on Long Island, there are a lot of flats all around there you can wade and good numbers of fish. It's a very nice place on a beautiful pristine beach.

Im at Tiamo resort on Andros as we speak. Its an easy 1 hour direct flight from Ft Lauderdale. My wife is asleep and Im gong to fish for big tailers right now. Its a resort not a fishing lodge which is better suited to the wife. Food is excellent and my guide picks me up at the dock every morning. He is an excellent guide and well renown. He has a Hells bay pro and a 30 foot offshore boat, he can do both. PM me and I will connect you to him.

Is the resort all inclusive?

Tell more please. I’ve been looking at that. Have you stayed there? How’s the DIY fishing?
Yes, we rented a house on the Cape Santa Maria Beach that came with a jeep and a Whaler so I explored quite a bit. The flats to the West of Stella Maris were loaded with fish. You can also get local guides that will put you on them. Cape Santa Maria Resort is very nice and on one of the nicest beaches I've ever seen. Make sure you have wading boots.
