The big thing you need to know - is are they Coast Guard rated and approved? They might work just fine on a fire but the must be approved or you'll get dinged in any inspection...

For what it's worth any fire on a small skiff had better be tiny and caught early - or you'll be getting some swimming lessons the hard way... If a fiberglass boat catches fire - you'll have a very very hard time putting it out - no matter what extinguisher in on board. To give you a real world view.. fire departments (fire boats...) responding to a boat fire at a marina concentrate on towing the burning boat away from other boats until it burns to the water line and puts itself out.... otherwise they could lose an entire marina...

Fire on a boat of any size is real trouble, period.
