I am looking for my next project boat, and came across what appears to be a duck boat style waterbug/ gheenoe. I have never seen one with duck style walls like this before.

My three questions are :
Can the top wall top mold be removed easily?

Should I pay the extra 500 to 800 bucks and get a real gheenoe? If so why are they so much better than knock offs?

It's not a gheenoe, it's an old style bass boat. You'll be happier with the real thing I think.

I was thinking it looked like a water moccasin, but the back end / transom area was all wrong.

FYI They were notorious for getting soft spots in the floor. Buddy of mine just redid his. Great little boats, and can find them pretty cheap too
