I have the #9 Sector and I have cast the #10 as well. I personally think they are the best casting rods out there. The 10 is a better all around rod. We fished Puerto Rico for tarpon and never grabbed the 11 wt. Guys in our group landed fish 90-100 lbs with no problem. One day we got into a school of juveniles and I switched down to my 9 wt. We fished for permit as well and the 9 was perfect, but we didn’t have a lot of wind. When I have permit fished in the Bahamas, the wind was usually whipping and had to use the 10.
