Hi,Hope ya'll can help??Just acquired a suzuki 9.9 2 stroke that does not run, sounds like it's wheezing air from the carb when trying to crank the engine, got fuel, spark and decent compression...Now thinking it may have a reed valve issue but have not investigated as of yet!!Previous owner stated that this motor was locked up which is obviously not the case,I'm thinking that he didn't clear he fogging oil from the cylinders before trying to start causing a hydrolock...Maybe???Got any ideas????Thanks!!!!!!!

I think you're not getting fuel to the firing chambers.
Make sure the fuel pump is working properly.
Make sure the float bowl is filling.
May need a carb cleaning and rebuild.

Spray a little fuel/mix into the carb (don't flood it) to see if it will turn over a few times. If it does, it could any of the reasons Brett mentioned.
