Good work. I did similar research when I was trying to figure out which engine to put on my boat.

 

Some of those units are available with 15” shafts; some not. That factor often arises; you might add that info to the chart.

 

so what did you choose for your EVO?

 

Looking at powering up a new East Cape build and made a spreadsheet of the many choices on the motor front. Ran this list from 30 - 115 grouping by HP then sorting by Power:Weight, then weight.

Obviously there are nuances here, like actual output, propping, torque, etc, but thought this might be helpful to someone else as a starting point. If anyone wants some more columns, motors or has corrections, let me know and I'll keep it updated.
